<p>A material, such as a web, mat or slab is disclosed, for covering a surface of a building, for decorative purposes. It comprises a carrier layer or foil and elongate elements, especially small plastic material tubes, fixed thereto and disposed at an acute angle to the carrier layer. The elongate elements extending through the carrier layer are anchored to the back of the carrier layer by the portion at the back of the carrier layer. Additionally, there is disclosed a method of and apparatus for making such a material.</p> |
