<p>PURPOSE:To recycle the gas for stirring at low cost by burning the CO-containing exhaust gas emitted from an oxygen top blowing converter to CO-containing gas and removing the N gas mixed therein then using this gas as the gas for stirring the steel bath in the converter. CONSTITUTION:Decarbonization refining is done by providing gas blowing nozzles 3 to the bottom of an oxygen top blowing converter 1 and blowing oxygen from an oxygen top blowing lance 2 and the oxidation of C by CO2 and the dephosphorization reaction of the steel bath by the molteh slag are accelerated by blowing the gas composed primarily of CO2 from the nozzle 3 into the steel bath and stirring the steel bath. At this time, the exhaust gas composed primarily of CO emitting from the converter 1 is collected in a hood 4 and is removed of dust in a dust collector 5, after which it is stored in a gas holder 6. This gas is burned by the oxygen from an oxygen holder 11 by a burner 7 to make CO to CO2. After the N contained is removed by a separator 8, the gas is again returned to the converter 1 through a CO2 holder 9 and flow control unit 10, whereby it is recycled. Since the in-house evolved gas is utilized, the bottom blowing gas is obtained at lower cost than that when it is supplied from the other.</p> |
