PURPOSE:To raise storability and discharge performance of cell by a procedure in which activated carbon with a metal-phthalocyanine is mixed with a binder liquid to a slurry, and then the slurry is impregnated into a net, dried, and the punched to obtain an air electrode. CONSTITUTION:Activated carbon with a metal-phthalocyanine is mixed with an emulsified binder solution of fine Teflon powder to a slurry 9, and then the slurry 9 is impregnated into the net 4 of stainless steel, etc., dried by the heater 11 of 150-1300 deg.C through a 0.5mm.-spaced slit 10, sheeted, and then punched by the press 12 to form the air electrode 3. Thus, the uniform air electrodes 3 can be manufactured in large numbers in a short time, and the cost and number of manufacturing processes can be greatly reduced. Also, the phthalocyanine as a catalyst is available cheap, different from noble metal catalysts. |
