A process was described for the selective adsorption of a ketose-aldose mixt. by absorbants of zeolites contg. Na, Ba, Sr, or K at exchangeable cationic sites. Thus, fructose was selectively adsorbed from a 20% fructose - 20% glucose soln. by ba-exchanged Linde 5 A mol. sieves. fructose is used as a source of calories for patents, sweetener of confectionary, canned fruit, drinks and bakery.
