PURPOSE:To make it possible to protect the stylus tip and change stylus pressure for scanning, by providing a coil body near the magnet provided at the back end of the cantilever and by supplying a current to the coil body to displace the scanning stylus at the cantilever tip. CONSTITUTION:Coil body 15 is arranged near magnet 3, which is provided at the back end of cantilever 1 where scanning stylus tip 2 of a reproducing pickup is fitted, in the position where vertical center axis 17 agrees with each other. When a DC current is supplied to coil body 15, coil body 15 becomes an electromagnet, and repulsive force is generated between magnet 3 and coil body 15, and magnet 3 moves downward. Then, cantilever 1 rotates with support damper 5 as the fulcrum, and stylus 2 moves upward. Level 1 rotates at the angle determined by rotation of support damper 5 and the vertical spring constant of head damper 4 and stops. When the current is reduced gradually, stylus tip 2 falls onto the disc surface softly. If a small current is supplied in the course of scanning, stylus pressure can be adjusted finely. |
