<p> An MRI device having a blood flow imaging function of displaying the image of blood flows in different directions while differentiating between the directions. A plurality of slice planes perpendicular to the direction of the blood flow of the subject is set and multislice-imaged with a predetermined repetition time. During the imaging, a measurement in which the slice planes are excited in a first order and a measurement in which the slice planes are excited in second order opposite to the first order are made. As a result, two types of data such that the signal strength is different according to the direction of blood flow are acquired. The two types of data for each slice plane acquired by the two measurements are subjected to differential operation so as to generate data whose sign is different according to the direction of blood flow. The sign, together with the signal strength, is turned to an image and thus blood flows are displayed with the directions of blood flows differentiated from one another. By overlapping the adjacent slices in the direction of thickness during the multislice imaging, the signals of the stationary portions are weakened and the contrast of the image of blood flow after the differential operation can be heightened. The EPI technique whose imaging time is very short as an imaging sequence can be used as the MRA measurement sequence.</p> |
