<p>The present invention relates to a radial ball-bearing which can for example be used in the gearboxes of automobiles. The ball-bearing comprises an outer ring (1) and an inner ring (2) with toroidal bearing races (3, 4) as well as a plurality of barrel-shaped rollers (5) which are arranged in the recesses of a separator (6) placed between said bearing races (3, 4) so as to define a predetermined radial gap. The ring (2) has a width which is larger than that of ring (1). The radii of curvature of the rollers (5) and of the bearing races (3, 4) of the rings have nominal values which are close to each other and are larger than the maximal distance between the bearing rotation axis N-N and the surface of the toroidal bearing race (3) in the outer ring (1). The axis X-X, which includes the centre O1 of the radius of curvature R1 of the toroidal bearing race, is wider than the ring (2) and is located at various distances relative to the ends (7, 8) thereof. The radius of curvature R of the toroidal surface of the bearing races (3, 4) in each ring is determined by the formula (I) where Δ is the total axial displacement on both sides of one ring relative to the other, δ is the predetermined radial gap in the bearing and Dw is the maximal diameter of a roller.</p> |
