PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically regulate the transient response characteristic of a lens to control the position, to prevent the dispersion of the transient response characteristic for each product and to easily regulate the transient response characteristic again by controlling the position of the lens corresponding to the test signal of a step waveform and setting a feedback gain for determining the transient response characteristic based on the response waveform of the lens position at such a time. SOLUTION: An input changeover switch 36 is switched from a lens controller 12 to the input of a test signal generating circuit 38 by turning on a regulating switch 34. Then, a motor 16 is driven by the test signal of the step waveform outputted from the test signal generating circuit 38, and a lens 18 is moved back and forth. At such a time, the response waveform corresponding to the test signal is detected by inputting the position signal of the lens 18 from a potentiometer 20 and a feedback gain βf of an amplifier 28 is set for determining the transient response characteristic so that this response waveform becomes a prescribed form. |
