<p>Appts. for vulcanising pneumatic tyres or tubes has a support plate with a rubber cushion co-operating with a vertically movable heating plate which is carried by transverse arm and lowered towards the plate by an eccentric device. Arm takes the form of a boom mounted for rotary movement about the axis of a vertical pillar. Used for repairing local damages, e.g. holes or cuts. High quality repairs of reproducible standard can be carried out. Pref. the support plate is vertically adjustable to limited extent by a threaded spindle which carries the plate. Device may take the form of an eccentric sleeve fast with a shaft and rotated by a handle to displace downwardly a shaft which carries the plate. Latter is biased upwardly by a spring.</p> |
