<p>A plastisol compsn. comprises a PVC resin and, w.r.t. the resin, 35-40 % plasticiser, 45-55% thioxotropic agent and 3% heat stabiliser. The plasticiser is pref. a mixt. of octyl phthalate and octyl adipate in the prefd. amts. of 70-80 (75)% and 30-20 (25)% respectively The plastisol is specifically claimed for protecting supports used under severe conditions of chemical corrosion, partic. in electrolysis bath e.g. galvanoplastic bath, and esp. for coating metals. It offers better corrosion resistance than known plastisols.</p> |
