<p>The chaff cutting machine (2) is designed to be attached either to the front or rear of a traction vehicle (1). It is connected by upper and lower linkages (4, 5) between which is a drive connection (6). This is attached to a drive unit (3) incorporated at the rear of chaff cutter. The drive unit has a flat housing (16) and a toothed drive wheel inside the unit meshes with a further drive pinion of the same size, this in turn meshing with a second pinion also of the same size. Both pinions have a shaft stub projecting from them, forming alternative connection members. All three gear wheels are in the same plane.</p> |
