To form a simple and reliable handle and a simple closure, in a cardboard blank a central part (3) between lid parts (2', 2'') is provided for the handle (6) and a closure is provided which is formed by a closure tongue (19) on the front (15) of the lid (2) and by a slot (16) in the front (10) of the bottom (1). The handle (6) is produced by pushing together the central part and folding it in the folds (21, 22, 23) and bonding a part (7) of a side part (14) at the front to a part (9) of a side part (8) at the rear. By bonding the sides at the four corners of the cardboard blank and erecting the sides, the lid (2) can be placed over the bottom (1) and the closure tongue (19) can be inserted in the slot (16), edge flaps (20) arranged on the closure tongue (19) hooking into holding parts (18) formed by edge slots (17) in the front (10). The closure can only be opened by tearing off the closure tongue (19). <IMAGE>
