<p>The guide for a hydraulic or pneumatic jack consists of two parallel guide bars (11) which slide in tubular guides (31,32). The jack cylinder (21) is mounted on a support to which the tubular guides (31,32) are fixed. The jack piston rod (22) is attached to a boss (6) which forms part of perpendicular yoke (5) the ends of which are attached to the guide bars (11). The yoke (5) has tapped holes (10) for connecting the jack to the load. The guide enables the jack to operate under eccentric or side loads or with loads subject to vibration.</p> |
