The equipment for heating, drying or cooling bulk granular material of all kinds has a hopper with a vibratory discharge system (2) which allows the material to fall vertically through a shaft (4) with a control flap (5) at the top. A horizontal burner (21) discharges hot air under a hood (6) onto a vibratory grid conveyor (15) below, with more than one horizontal grid, and corresponding outlets (16). The hot air passes through the grids to a collector chamber (10) underneath and is then recirculated by a blower (23) underneath the burner. The burner, or its chamber, can be moved towards or away from the hood, and fresh air can be introduced for mixing with the hot air.
