<p>In a domestic appliance, such as a dishes or clothes washing machine or an oven, there is a front plate which ranges down to the axis sockets and pivots on a horizontal axis between the sockets and the door axis. There is a quadrilateral coupling between the front plate and the door, with a lever so that the front plate moves ahead of the door when the appliance is opened. The design ensures that there is no gap in the wall of the appliance when the door is closed. The operating lever has its free end keyed with the front door plate of the appliance, without being affected by small door opening angles.</p> |
