The friction clutch is particularly for automotive use, having a pressure plate movable axially between a flywheel and a mounting fixed to the latter and subjected to the pressure of a spring or other medium. A driven plate slides on the clutch shaft between pressure plate and flywheel, and is equipped with annular linings. The linings comprise a number of friction plates (21), removable individually in the radial direction via openings (26) in the mounting (10) of the pressure plate (12) and in the clutch housing.
