Multiphase thyristor control circuit - uses converter to synchronise output and auxiliary sawtooth voltages with determined period value

The multi-phase thyristor control system with a control section using six control thyristors forming a bridge circuit, uses firing angle control for each phase. The outputs are fed to an A/D converter to equalise the amplified phase differences using a periodic sawtooth voltage. Conversion is carried out using a common sawtooth voltage and the phase position at a zero position is varied at the input by an amount equal to one sixth of the network period. An auxiliary sawtooth voltage is synchronised with the input so that a pulse train is obtained which has this period. This determines the shape of the sawtooth waveform.
