Fine bulk material piling process - has thin layers spread to build up with downwards slope to drain pipe at centre

The piling process is for bulk material in fine or granular form, esp. washed coal dust slurry. This is tipped from lorries at levels determined by the terrace intervals in thin layers, evenly spread by auxiliary machines, and then compacted in layers. The travel and tip surface and the individual layers (5, 6) are built up and compacted to give a downwards gradient to the pile centre line (7). At this point the drain pipe (12) of a dewatering system is installed, this being continuously extended upwards as the pile height increases.
