Dental alloy casting appliance - with mould shell centred by collar on furnace cover against melting crucible

A casting appliance, specially for vacuum-pressure casting techniques for articles in dental alloy, consists of a melting furnace which carries in a dished cover a graphite crucible. The cover has around the bore for the crucible an annular centring collar which fits into the casting funnel of the mould shell and aligns it relative to the crucible. This creates an exact centring device for the mould shell relative to the crucible which is easy to produce and to detach. Rapid crucible burn-up and fast draughts during the pressure cycle are eliminated.
