The rotating mower is designed for cutting stalk-and-leaf material. The machine incorporates a cutter drum (6) which is fitted after the mowing rotor (1) which separates the stalks and leaves in free cut. In conjunction with a fixed centre blade, the blades on this drum chop up the material flowing in from the mower rotor. The material flow from the rotor impinges vertically on the cutter drum, which throws the material into a shaft. An efficient cutting action is obtained.
