In an item of office furniture with an adjustable table top (22) which has a front working side, two side parts (1) are provided which are connected to one another by a support (21) and between which the table top (22) is arranged. The adjustment of the table top in inclination and in height takes place by means of lateral and rear pin catches (35). Arranged in the rear edge of the table top (22) is a bolt (28) which is mounted so as to be movable back and forth. The cap (54) of the bolt (28) engages behind a vertical slot (38) in the support (21). When the table top is disengaged for the purpose of adjustment thereof, it remains connected to the support (21) via the bolt (28) and therefore cannot drop out. <IMAGE>
