The ball-bearing is designed to allow axial movement. It has an outer sleeve with axial races in its bore, which contains a cage with radial openings accommodating the rows of balls. Split collars are fixed to the sleeve and protrude into the cage openings so as to form pairs of axial race sections joined by semiconductor sections. One or more of these split collars (8) are interchangeably mounted on the outer sleeve (4), so as to allow balls (2) of different sizes to be accommodated.
