The housings for electrical devices such as switches, fuses and sockets are built up on the modular principle, and are designed to exclude moisture. Each unit is a plastic open-fronted box which is fitted with a cover shaped to suit the switch or fuse unit. Special units for e.g. sockets can be fitted with an angled cover. At junction points between units, dovetail slots are incorporated near the corners to enable shaped locking bars to be inserted. The covers are secured by screws, and sealing strips are inserted between adjoining faces, having cut-outs to match cut-outs in the adjoining faces themselves. The fuse box is fitted with a transparent cover with a spring loaded hinge across the top.
