The cigarette filter has a wrapping, esp. made of paper, fitting closely round the filter material. At the point where the smoke passes through, the wrapping is closed by a partition (6) separated from the tobacco (2) by a filtering layer (11), and which contains a nozzle (7) for the passage of the smoke. At the outlet side of this nozzle and towards the mouthpiece there is a baffle wall (8), together with a filter (10), and a narrow air chamber (9) is formed between the nozzle and the filter.
