Gramophone records are located on a centre spindle and are subjected to a cleaning process that covers the complete surface. Any electrostatic charge is removed in the same operation. The disc (1) is located on a central guide pin (6) that also receives the arm (3) of the cleaning unit. The arm has a bracket (7) that has a line of conducting bristles for electrostatic charge removal. A conical profile brush (9) rotates to remove any dust or dirt from the surface of the disc.
