Mixing system has a number of individually driven mixers mounted on a plate or carrier. This carrier is raised and lowered by means of a hydraulic cylinder and it can be rotated. The vessel or container for the material to be mixed esp. milk products is placed on the base. The carrier is rotated and the required agitator lowered into the vessel. Thus various degrees of agitation can be achieved by having high speed, high shear mixers or low speed, gentle mixers. Used. esp. for mixing milk products. Allows rapid and easy changes of agitator type, with the agitator being rapidly available after any change.
