LAMINATES EMPLOYING LIGNOSULFONATE EXTENDED PHENOLIC RESINS

Lignosulfonate extended phenol-formaldehyde resins are employed in the manufacture of heat- and pressure-consolidated laminates in order to decrease the requirements of phenolic resin used for impregnating the core laminae of the laminate and to enhance environmental quality by reducing residual phenols, formaldehydes and organic solvents used in laminate manufacture.
