The self-actuated drinking device is in the form of a tap-type water dispenser for animals. There is a bore or slot (2) at the projecting tap on the top or bottom side. There is a metal plunger (3) or a metal ball (3) with a bore (4) in the first bore or slot (2). It is flexibly set on a valve pin (5) with a valve (7) and seal (8).
