<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the erroneous recognition of foreign matter, such as refuse lumps, as microorganism by recognizing and counting only the microorganism detected in regions exclusive of the lump portion of the refuse as filtration obstacle microorganism. SOLUTION: A microscopic image is inputted (S1) and is subjected to image binarization (S11).
