COATED PAPER FOR PRINTING AND ITS PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain coated paper used for printing and mainly not generating web rotary offset press wrinkles. SOLUTION: This coated paper for printing is obtained by disposing a coating layer containing a pigment and an adhesive as main components on raw paper or base paper. Therein, a dry shrinking force R measured by the below measuring method satisfies the following inequality: 0<=R<=45 gf. [The method for measuring R: the R is obtained by cutting a coated paper sample having a moisture adjusted according to JIS-P-8111 in a prescribed size in the direction of CD and subsequently measuring the obtained piece by the use of a thermal mechanical analyzer by a constant method]. The coated paper is further easily obtained, when raw paper obtained by coating base paper with PVA having a saponification degree of >=85 mol.% in a dry coating amount of 0.5-5 g/m2 per one side of the base paper and subsequently drying the coated base paper is used.
