PURPOSE:To effectively prevent the drop of an active material during the process and improve the strength and cycle characteristic by adding fluororesin as foams. CONSTITUTION:A metal porous body with three-dimensionally continuous holes is used as a substrate 1, an active material is filled in the substrate 1, then fluororesin dispersion foams 7 are stuck to form a fluororesin layer on the surface of the substrate 1. Air is fed into the fluororesin dispersion to generate foams, thus foams 7 containing fluororesin are generated. When the substrate 1 filled with the active material is allowed to pass the portion where foams 7 have been generated, foams 7 are stuck on the surface of the substrate 1, and the fluororesin layer is formed by extinguishing the foams 7. Fluororesin can be selectively added to the surface of the electrode. The drop of the active material from the substrate surface is thereby suppressed, and an electrode for cell with stable quality is obtained. |
