PURPOSE:To carry out a great deal of color discriminating operation speedily at a high accuracy by shifting through a rotary switch the connection between a plurality of photoelectric discrimination chambers, each of which is provided with two sets of color discriminating light receiving elements for downwardly-flowing grain streams, and an oscilloscope. CONSTITUTION:Each of photoelectric discrimination chambers 11 is provided with light receiving elements 8 and nozzles 9 on front and rear wells 6, 7 thereof. A color discriminating signal for linearly downwardly flowing grain streams is generated in the elements 8 by the light emitted from a light source 10 and permeated through or reflected on a discriminating color controlling plate 25. With this signal, grain to which ejection currents are applied from the nozzles 9... is subjected to discrimination to be separated excellently into a grain stream of a predetermined color flowing to a grain collecting cylinder 14 and a grain stream of another color flowing to a discharge port 13. When a rotary switch 17 is operated, the light receiving elements 8 provided on the walls 6, 7 of a selected discrimination chambers is connected to an oscilloscope 15 through a change-over switch 16 so that the discriminator is easily and accurately regulated. Thus, various kinds and a great deal of color discriminating operations can be carried out speedily at a high accuracy. |
