PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration of external appearance characteristics and prevent the decrease of life due to scattering of emitter substance by applying a floating shield onto electrodes and increasing the coating weight of emitter substance. CONSTITUTION:A floating shield is arranged so as to cover the periphery of electrodes. The floating shield 1 is formed of, for example, nickel plated iron plate having the thickness of 0.16mm., and a shield supporting wire 2 is arranged separately from a supporting wire 4 for a filament electrode 3 and planted onto a glass stem 5. Onto the filament electrode 3, emitter oxide in 9mg or more is coated. |
