PURPOSE:To suppress the generation of cracks in forming and permit mass production of thin type positive electrodes by pressing and molding integrally positive electrode mixed agent and the foamed metal plate having a specific solid volume and allowing the foamed metal side to contact with a separator, fabricating a cell. CONSTITUTION:A foamed metal plate 2 which has the value of solid volume 1.43-8.00mul/cm<2> which is obtained by dividing the surface density by the specific gravity of the metal and the positive electrode mixed agent 3 having silver oxide as active substance are pressed and compessed and formed integrally to a positive electrode 1. The foamed metal plate 2 of this positive electrode 1 is contacted with a separator, fabricating a button type cell. Therefore, the generation of fissures and cracks in forming the positive electrode 1 can be eliminated, and the mass production of the thin type positive electrode having the thickness for example 0.6mm. or less is facilitated, and the cells having a large electric capacity and a small internal resistance even at low temperature can be obtained. |
