PURPOSE:To greatly improve an impregnating property, by arranging porous insulators and hollow rod-like spacers near each other between conductor layers so that the insulators and spacers extend in the axial direction of a coil. CONSTITUTION:A coil 2 is wound around a bobbin 1 made of a laminated resin pipe. An insulating tape is wound as the outermost layer around the coil 2. A resin duct 8 is made up of porous fibrous mats 8a of polyester or the like and hollow rod-like spacers 8b. According to this constitution, resin passages for impregnation and cooling ducts are defined and the impregnation can be effected well in a very short time. This results in providing the impregnated and molded coil excellent in electrical and mechanical properties and cooling performance. |
