PURPOSE:To make it possible to remove the unnaturalness of an observer's gaze by taking a picture of the observer through the small hole of a display screen and by projecting no light upon the part of the small hole. CONSTITUTION:A video signal sent from a party conference room is supplied to projector 8 to remove a part equivalent to small hole 5 on screen 4 by a blanking pulse generated by a blanking pulse generator. Light projected by projector 8 forms a picture on screen 4, but the part of small hole 5 becomes dark so that no light strikes pickup unit 1. Attendant 10 at a conference takes a look at the image of a party attendant on screen 4 and, at this time, sees hole 5, i.e., the lens part of unit 1, so that attendant 10 faces unit 1 in a picture taken by unit 1. |
