This invention relates to soil cultivating machines which have a frame with a frame portion extending transversely of the intended direction of operative travel of the machine. The frame portion supports a plurality of cultivating members driven, in operation of the machine, about upwardly extending axes, behind the frame portion there is provided a tool bar for receiving tools. At least one ground engaging supporting member is mounted on the machine frame behind the tool bar so as to be adjustable in a direction of height and so as to be readily detachable.
