PURPOSE:To enable the obtaining of copies without failure at good efficiency by beforehand transferring transfer paper and further operating the means of feeding and transferring at the specified timings thereby performing feeding and transferring. CONSTITUTION:When a main switch is turned ON, a drum 2 revolves and transfer paper 10 is detected by detectors 15, 16 and is preliminarily fed by feed rollers 14. Next, when a copy switch is turned ON, a platen 1 advances and the original is exposured, whereby an electrostatic latent image is formed on the drum surface. The transfer paper 10 passes the transfer area at the same speed as the drum peripheral speed and is fed to fixing a rollers 20. It is discharged by rollers 21. When the transfer paper 10 is inserted from a table 12, the detector 15 detects the paper 10 and turns ON the feed rollers 14 so that the paper 10 is taken into the machine, but for a fixed time after the detector 15 detected the paper, the rollers 14 are not turned ON and therefore the bias insertion of the paper is prevented. In addition, the copying may be started simply by the detection of the paper 10 by the detector 15 even if the copy switch is not turned ON. |
