PURPOSE:To improve fluidity of divalent silver oxide powder which is obtained by chemical synthetic method and improve the accuracy of weighing of positive electrode pellet and the yield of molding by immersing the powder in a specific ethylene chloride and drying the powder. CONSTITUTION:The divalent silver oxide powder obtained by chemical synthesis method is immersed in ethylene chloride having the number of chlorination of 2-4, and then dried. For example, 50cc of trichloroethylene is used for 100g of divalent silver oxide, and after immersion for about 30min, said product is dried at a temperature below 60 deg.C. As treating liquid, dichloroethylene or tetra-chloroethylene may be used similarly. Thus, the fluidity of the divalent silver oxide powder which is obtained by chemical synthesis method and has the tendency of secondary particle formation and inferior fluidity as powder is improved without developing deteriorations such as generation of oxygen gas, and the accuracy of weighing of positive electrode pellet and the yield of molding can be improved. |
