<p>PURPOSE:To operate an exhaust gas turbo-supercharger efficiently by a method wherein a bypass is provided from a duct connected to a turbine of an exhaust gas turbo-supercharger to have a part of an exhaust gas bypassed. CONSTITUTION:A duct 8 communicating an exhaust pipe 2 to a turbine 5 is provided with a switch valve 11 and a bypass 10 which communicates to a passage 9 and an outlet 5a of the turbine 5. When passages 9 and 10 are made to communicate with each other by the switch valve 11, a part of the exhaust gas is exhausted to the turbine outlet without flowing into the turbine 5. When a main switch 23 is closed, passages 9 and 10 are shut off by the switch valve 11. When a load increases from this condition, a supercharging pressure also increases, and with the ascent of a slider 30 a piston 14 of an air cylinder 12 is actuated by the action of a spring 15 to communicate the passage 9 to the passage 10 gradually through the switch valve 11.</p> |
