摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutter reciprocating mechanism for a cutting machine in which reciprocating movement imparted to a cutter will not lead to generation of vibration, so that the durability of a cutter head and a Y-beam can be enhanced and highly accurate cutting is made possible. SOLUTION: A motor 19 is connected to a rotor 24 freely rotationally supported by a housing 21 secured to a vertically moving plate 16, in such a manner that the rotor 24 is concentric with respect to the internal gear 23 of the housing 21. A pinion shaft 30 which is eccentric with respect to the axis of the rotor 24 is freely rotationally supported by the rotor 24 and a pinion gear 32 with a pitch circle whose diameter is half the diameter of the internal gear 23 is provided on the pinion shaft 30 in such a way as to mesh with the internal gear 23. An eccentric pin 34 which is located on the pitch circle of the internal gear 23 is secured to the pinion shaft 30 and a vertically moving lever 35 rotatably attached to the eccentric pin 34 is connected to a cutter. When the rotor 24 is rotated, the pinion shaft 30 rotates about both the axis of the rotor 24 and its own axis and the eccentric pin 34 is only brought into vertical movement. The vertical movement of the eccentric pin 34 causes vertical reciprocating movement of the cutter at high speeds.
