<p>This invention relates to novel indole derivatives of formula <IMAGE> and the non-toxic, pharmacologically acceptable salts thereof. These compounds exhibit desirable pharmacological properties, especially lipid-level lowering and anti-atherosclerotic activity. The compounds of the invention may be prepared by, for example, alkylation of a corresponding hydroxy indole.</p> |
