PURPOSE:To obtain a response of a tube to a wide range irradiation distance and distribution area of equal intensity of illumination, by forming the luminous tube into a ring shape or rotary sectional body. CONSTITUTION:A no-electrode ring-shaped discharge tube 1c is arranged in the vicinity of the focus of a rotary paraboloid reflection mirror 2. The reflection mirror 2 and a metallic wire net 3, having an extremely fine mesh as compared with a length of microwave, constitute a microwave hollow. Coaxial waveguides 4 and 5 are formed matching to an angular waveguide unit 10 matched to an output antenna 12 of a magnetron 11. The power of microwave oscillated by the magnetron 11 is efficiently conducted to the luminous hollow part to load its energy to the no-electrode ring-shaped discharge tube 1c and permit said discharge tube 1c to emit a plasma light. |
