<p>The motor vehicle is a type in which a learner driver is taught to drive and has dual control pedals. These are arranged in the driving compartment rather than via the engine compartment so that the duplicate set can be removed readily when the vehicle is due for sale as secondhand. An auxiliary set of pedals (4) are located on the front passenger side of the vehicle. The pedals articulate about a single concentric axis (5) to which crank arms (6,7,8) are attached and coupled to cranks (9,10,11). These are firmly fixed to shafts (12,13,14) with the brake and clutch shafts coaxially assembled. The shafts are mounted horizontally via brackets onto the bulkhead and are coupled to the drivers pedals by articulated crank arms and clamps.</p> |
