PURPOSE:To provide a printer which can be easily controlled and to perform a clear printing, by a method wherein a coloring and printing are conducted on a heat-sensitive paper by the use of heat energy produced when a partial mechanical impact is applied to the heat-sensitive paper in such a manner as moves a plurality of wires in the longitudinal direction. CONSTITUTION:A printing mechanism is provided with a wire 6 serving as a dotting part performing a dotting, a dotting drive driving the wire, and a guide 8. A device enables the wire 6 to make a straight advance to a heat-sensitive paper 9 (consisting of a base paper 92 and heat-sensitive layer 91) situated on a platen 10, and enables it to collide with the heat-sensitive paper 9 at a straight drive speed of about 8 meter per second. Through the action of the energy heat generated resulting from the direct impact of the wire, only a collision portion 11 is heated to about 120 deg.C, and thereby it generate colorings. |
