PURPOSE:To obtain solid electrolyte cell which permits high efficiency discharge and is stable for a long period by using a light metal negative electrode and a positive electrode which consists of a charge transfer complex made of hexaamine allyliodide and iodine. CONSTITUTION:The iodine charge transfer complex obtained by adding iodine to hexaamine allyliodide (C6H12N4.C3H5I) is used as positive electrode 1, and light metal such as lithium or sodium is used as negative electrode 2, and thus a cell is fabricated. As positive electrode substance, is used a black and highly viscous liquid which is obtained by mixing iodine to hexaamine allyliodide and heating said mixture at 60 deg.C, and said liquid is held on nonwoven glass fabric and used as positive electrode 1. Thus, the charge transfer complex having high electric conductivity and low vapour pressure of iodine is obtained, and thus solid electrolyte cell which is capable of high efficiency discharge and stable for a long period can be obtained. |
