A refuse rack 1 contains a container 3 for catching waste from a refuse duct 4 and for carrying the waste through an opening 5 in its floor into a refuse bag 6 placed below the container and suspended in a holder 7. The holder 7 is displaceable between an inner position in which the refuse bag is below the floor opening 5 and an outer position where the refuse bag is placed outside said floor opening with a view to being exchanged with a new bag. When moved, the holder 7 carries with it a covering device 9 formed by two closure parts 11, 12, said covering device covering the floor opening 5 for preventing waste in the container 3 to fall out when the holder 7 and the refuse bag 6 are drawn out. The first closure part 11 is displaceable horizontally in guides 18 on the container 3, and the second closure part 12 is swingably connected to the first closure part and is restrictedly guided and connected to the frame of the refuse rack 1 such that it will not hit the rear wall 10 in the refuse room S where the refuse rack 1 is placed, when the holder 7 and the refuse box 6 are displaced inwards. <IMAGE>
