PURPOSE:To accomplish efficient movement of a driven body at an equal speed by turning off a motor coil for an arbitrary time period by detected signal of the speed when the driven body has exceeded a specified speed. CONSTITUTION:A carriage CA having an ink-jet nozzle NP for recording contains a coil C, performs reciprocating movement in cooperation with a magnetic circuit comprising a permanent magnet PM and a sliding shaft Y2, and the position and the speed of the carriage CA are sensed by a slit plate OS and a photodiode LE and a phototransistor PT in the carriage CA. Then pulses TP1-TP3 are formed from a sensed signal TP. Said pulses turn on a coil C via a counter CCH and a control unit CC, thereby the speed of the movement of the carriage CA is controlled. Since the off-time can be set properly, the movement at an equal speed can be accomplished without decreasing the speed excessively. |
