PURPOSE:To reduce the amount of processing of the line control section or upper- rank unit, by providing the means comparing the reception character CHR and a plurality of CHRs predetermined and the error derection circuit checking error in the data, for processing. CONSTITUTION:The CHR mode to be compared with received CHR, operation mode of the error detection circuit 4, and operation mode of the line adaptor section 1 are designated at the CHR comparison circuit 3 by the signal line 50 from the line control section and the receiving operation is started. When the constitution of 1 CHR is finished at the CHR constitution circuit 6, the CHR reception is informed to the control section 2 and the reception CHR finished for constitution is transferred to the CHR buffer 5. The circuit 3 compares the CHR designated with the content of the buffer 5, and if in disagreement, the instruction of operation is fed to the circuit 4. When in agreement, the control section 2 reports it to the line control section, and the start to the circuit 4 is held until the instruction from the line control section is present. Thus, the line control section and upper-rank units need not to operate the processing such as error detection and the amount of processing can be reduced. |
