PURPOSE:To obtain the length of air-gap with high accuracy and simply, by selectively providing a plurality of wedges having measuring coil buried therein, at a plurality of slots being prepd in a stator. CONSTITUTION:At each of the four slots 23a to 23d, which is prepd with 90 deg. intervals apart each other, a measuring wedge (25a-25d) is installed respectively. At each of these measuring wedges (25a-25d), strip type plate pairs 26, 27, both sides thereof are tapered, are used. On the joint surface of one of these plate pairs 26, 27, measuring coils 28a-28d are wired by printed circuit respectively and each of the plate pairs is attached thereon. Accordingly, magnetic circuit permitting its passing through an air-gap 6, rotor and stator's iron core respectively is formed in the vicinity of the air-gap as shown by the arrow F when each of the measuring coils is energized by AC and the like. By the above mentioned mechanism, length of the air-gap is measured with high precision and simplicity. |
